Denver neighborhood guide
Living in Midtown Denver
A newer home community near 67th and Pecos with modern homes, a real neighborhood feel, and easy access to downtown Denver.
Midtown is more than a neighborhood I work in. It’s home.
My spouse and I moved here when we were starting our family, welcomed our first child on the east side of the neighborhood, and later moved into a larger home on the west side while I was pregnant with our second. We kept our first Midtown home as a rental.
That means I know Midtown as a resident, homeowner, parent, landlord, neighbor, and real estate agent. If you’re thinking about buying, selling, or keeping a Midtown home as an investment, I can help you make sense of the details that actually matter.

Why Midtown Feels Different
Midtown has the kind of community people say they want, but do not always find.
Neighbors know each other. People step in when someone needs help. Kids and dogs are out walking. You run into familiar faces at Early Bird, at community events, and around the neighborhood.
Yes, the homes are newer and the location is convenient. But the real reason people stay is the sense of connection.
Laura also sponsors the Bruz Brewery Summer Concert Series, serves on the social committee, helps with the Easter egg hunt, and captains the neighborhood yard sale.
“Midtown has the kind of community people say they want and rarely actually find. People know each other here, help each other, and genuinely spend time together. It makes a huge difference in day-to-day life.”
Lifestyle
Getting Around Midtown
Midtown is more car-friendly than truly walkable in the classic urban Denver sense, but it is easy to get around within the neighborhood and convenient for quick access to downtown and everyday errands.
One of Midtown’s best lifestyle features is the Clear Creek Trail, which runs along the back side of both the east and west sides of the neighborhood. It connects to bike paths toward Golden or downtown and is a great feature for cyclists, runners, and evening walks.
Newer construction, modern layouts
Homes in Midtown
Midtown is a strong fit for buyers who want newer construction, modern layouts, and lower-maintenance living near central Denver.
You’ll find a mix of single-family homes, paired homes, and townhomes. The east side generally has the original neighborhood feel, while the west side includes larger homes and newer sections that can work especially well for growing households.
The biggest things I help buyers evaluate are:
- East side versus west side lifestyle and home styles
- Floor plans, lot placement, and upgrades
- Resale homes versus new-build opportunities
- Builder history and long-term resale potential
- Whether buying, selling, or holding as a rental makes the most sense
Your next move
Buying, Selling, or Renting
Whether you are buying your first Midtown home, moving up within the neighborhood, selling, or deciding if you should keep your home as a rental, the details matter.
I’ve personally made many of the same decisions Midtown owners are weighing now: buying a first home here, moving up without leaving the neighborhood, raising kids here, and keeping a property as a rental.
I can help you look past the listing photos and understand:
- Which areas and home styles fit your goals
- What buyers are responding to right now
- How to position a Midtown home for sale
- Whether rental ownership makes financial and practical sense for you

What Buyers Should Know
Midtown is not a historic Denver neighborhood full of bungalows and mature tree canopies. Buyers choose it for newer homes, functional layouts, neighborhood amenities, and a location that stays connected to Denver without feeling like downtown.
It’s also important to know that although Midtown is commonly marketed as a Denver neighborhood and uses the 80221 ZIP code, it is located in unincorporated Adams County. That affects items such as taxes, services, and property details, and it’s something I help clients understand clearly before they buy.
